
Ken Volz
Ken Volz is a business development and financial senior advisor who works with companies to assist them in building stronger and more profitable businesses. During the last 20 years he has helped a variety of companies improve their competitiveness, become more efficient and generate over $10 billion in enterprise value. His specific areas of expertise include:
- Identifying opportunities to leverage key strategic, marketing and financial implications into actionable business opportunities resulting in enhanced company value
- Structuring and negotiating business development initiatives including joint ventures, strategic alliances, acquisitions and venture capital investments
- Adding insight to company problems, inefficiencies, missed opportunities and untapped strengths that otherwise might be overlooked
- Determining existing business enterprise value and identifying value enhancement opportunities
Ken has had senior executive level experience in a variety of strategy, business development and financial positions within private industry.
While serving as vice president of marketing and business development for Ameritech Information Industry Services from 1996 to 2000, he grew a small unprofitable division into a $1 billion in annual revenue with significantly improved margins.
As vice president of business development at Ameritech Development Corp. and vice president of strategic investments at Ameritech’s international unit, Ken pioneered Ameritech’s national and international expansion by leading successful start-ups, acquisitions and joint ventures in North America, Europe and Asia. He successfully, originated, structured and negotiated $6 billion in business development initiatives resulting in $8 billion in created shareholder value.
Ken has served on the boards of several international companies and organizations.
Ken received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. He is also a certified public accountant and a certified valuation analyst.
